This is an internet meme I’ve seen passed around on Facebook, but since it’s design related I figured I’d post here.  I used to be a graphic designer in a previous life and I still like to exercise the skill whenever I can.  Usually I don’t respond to this chain mail type spam, but this one was interesting.

Here are the instructions:

1. Get a random Wikipedia article at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random.  The first article you get is the name of your band.
2. Get a random quotation from http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3.  The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.
3. Get a random image from http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days.  The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.
4. Use photoshop or similar to put it all together.

Here is my first result.  It took me about 10 minutes to throw together, but I think it’s pretty decent.
