Mississippi Style

As featured in today’s “What You Get For $200,000″ article in the New York Times, this home offers plenty of Southern charm. Situated in a friendly neighborhood in Mississippi replete with a farmer’s market, nearby art museums and a short commute to downtown Jackson. I have to admit I’m a bit shocked to find some iconic modern furniture in such an unexpected corner of the country; note the vintage Eames rocker and Panton chairs. Nevertheless, I’d skip those and head straight for the porch. A cold mint julep on a summer afternoon overlooking the pecan tree sounds just perfect.
844 Belhaven St., Jackson, Mississippi. For more details, see the agent’s listing.
